Methods of Payment

Please note: If you are a home owner, a resident in an almshouse, or a tenant on a 6 months Assured Shorthold Tenancy who has paid a deposit, this policy/ section may not apply to you.

Paying the rent is your responsibility. There are several ways to make payments to us, so you can always pay your rent on time.

Payments can be made directly from your bank on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Call 0800 013 8555 in order to set up a direct debit.
You can use swipe cards to make payments at PayPoint, the Post Office and e-Pay outlets. The cards can also be used at our Nottingham and Ollerton regional offices (during office hours only). To find your nearest PayPoint or Post Office outlet please visit

NCHA are introducing faster payments as a new way to pay your rent.What you need to do:

Enter how much you need to pay.

 You will then be asked for a Payee Reference so that the Payee knows who paid the money.You need to put your Tenancy Reference in. There is usually a limited number of characters that you can us - 18 characters. Your Tenancy Reference is 9 to 16 digits long - your post code followed by a number. Please use the remaining characters to put in as much of your surname as you can.
Log on to www.allpayments.net and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you are in receipt of housing benefit, you can ask your local council to pay your rent to us directly.
You can pay over the telephone using two methods:

Callpay: 0800 013 8555 (office hours only) Phone your regional office during office hours and make payments over the phone using your debit or credit card

Allpay : 08445 578 321 (24 hours) You can pay over the phone 24 hours a day with a credit or debit card. Simply enter your swipe card number and credit/debit card details and you will then be asked to enter the amount you want to pay onto the keypad on your phone.
Text Payments from Allpay is a secure SMS text message rent payment option, giving you even more flexibility in the way you pay your rent.

How it works:
To begin texting rent payments, you simply need a UK-registered mobile phone, a valid allpay swipecard and a current debit or credit card (debit card preferred).

After a very brief registration online at www.allpayments.net/textpay you can pay your rent anytime, anyplace, anywhere – quite literally!

You text a simple code and the amount you wish to pay to a designated number every time you want to make a payment.This service works in complete harmony with all other payment methods from allpay and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For a quick and easy way to pay your rent at the touch of a button, download the FREE Allpay App for your Apple or Android smartphone from your app store.

Create your Allpay account online at www.allpayments.net (your payment reference is the long number on your NCHA payment card).

Then log into your account via the app, where you can then store your payment reference number and bank card details so you don't have to enter them every time. You can store these securely by creating a 4-digit pin number so you don't need to go through a lengthy login process each time you use the app.

This account makes sure your rent is paid by having your wages or benefits paid directly to your credit union account. By doing this your credit union will make sure your rent is paid for you and will have the rest of your money paid to a prepaid debit card or a bank account of your choice so that your other bills can be paid.
