Dementia swimming

Swimming is a great activity that anyone can enjoy and a diagnosis of dementia should not stop anyone from taking part.

Dedicated dementia friendly swimming sessions are available at lots of swimming pools across the country, in a safe and supportive environment. Specialist lifeguards and volunteers are available to offer help in the changing room and pool side, and if you require a carer they can join you in the pool fro free.

Tea and coffee is available after the swim, so there is time to socialise too.

At NCHA we are proud to be championing these dementia friendly swimming sessions, and we will pay for you to take part.

To find out if there is a session running near you, contact Tenant Involvement on 0800 013 8555 / 0115 844 3150 or email info@ncha.org.uk
